The Guster’s claim to fame is taking out two birds–despite being an indoor cat. Guster’s mom and Van Gogh My Pet artist, Jennifer, says she needs a nanny cam to understand how he does it. Guster loves feather dusters and Jennifer’s male friends, and will never turn down fresh meat. He has been known to gnaw the skin off a turkey wing or two.
About this Portrait
Jennifer recounts the tale, “I had gone down to Southern California to visit a friend and found myself at a craft fair. I saw a pet portraiture artist at work and was suddenly struck by inspiration. I came home and immediately took out my oil pastels, and this portrait–and Van Gogh My Pet–was born!”
